City of Chicago Benefits Administration Services

The Chicago Benefits Office is responsible for the administration of medical, dental and related benefit programs for all eligible City of Chicago employees, annuitants and their eligible dependents.

The City of Chicago hired Morneau Shepell Limited, a human resources services and technology company, to assess their current benefits operations and develop and administer a new benefits program with comprehensive plans for their many types of employees, including customer service, eligibility and data management.

As a subcontractor to Morneau, Level-1 provides hosting, support and maintenance for all technologies required to deliver the program. This includes developing and implementing the program’s technical architecture, managing and operating the IT environments and interfaces, software license administration, applications systems management, disaster recovery, data security and integrity and physical security.
