
E-rateE-rate program delivery practiceThe federally-funded E-rate program provides discounts to eligible elementary and secondary schools and libraries for telecommunication services, Internet access, internal connections and basic maintenance of internal wiring. The program is administered by the Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) under the direction of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). E-rate operates on an annual funding cycle. Applications are due in the winter and funding commitments are made the following summer or early fall.
